I Kinda Miss Capitalism

 

He is collapsing capitalism with a free market. They are not the same thing. Indeed, what he describes is the essence of capitalism. What he calls capitalism is free market welfare economics.

As both Marx said, Capitalism does the seeds of its own destruction. The answer is not state socialism and it's current incarnation - Putin and his oligarchy (people who say Russian communism but support Trump and Putin crack me up).

Cooperative socialism, aka distributism, aka libertarian socialism, aka democratic capitalism, aka voluntary socialism, aka mutualism, aka anarcho-syndicalism . I call it inter-independence. Employee-owned companies or cooperatives (the difference being share voting and one vote for member) which is expanded into cooperative consumption, finance, human services, education, land ownership, transit, healthcare. Call it an employee owned company town. When employees realize that they can replace Blackrock with their own payments to themselves, they will do so.
