Powering data centers and tethered electric cars on a central system needs SMRs. Many reactors will be needed for both. They are best built on automated production lines rather than as huge projects. Both data centers and urban electric cars - as well as power generation for homes and communications - will require cooperation from the major employers of the metropolis - preferably firms that are employee owned. Part of cooperative employment retirement funds will be preferred shares in the data--power-transit system - with the goal that retirees get free use rather than cash.
