Why Catholics and Anglicans Can't Just Reunite (5 Obstacles) - from Catholic Snack

Ecumenical Patriarch Melitos, in unity with the Great Synod, declared in 1922 that Anglican Orders were valid. The Church is simply wrong on gay marriage and ordaining women - nor can it force its members to obey - including taking Communion from Real Presence Churches - like the Anglicans, Methodists, Presbyterians and Lutherans.

The Roman Church still borders on magicism - confusing it with sacredness. People are sacred. The oil of Chrism is still oil - and its excess can be wiped off with cloth and the cloth washed. Likewise, there is no way for us to know what the nature of the host is prior to reception. We know it is fully God at reception, but can never know what happens otherwise, because without receiving, this is unknowable.  One can believe what one wants, however I have not found attending adoration particularly compelling - although it is great group dynamics to have it.

As for the supremacy of Rome - New Rome is supreme. That is why the forged Donation of Constantine was forged in the first place - because Rome believed they needed it. Also, there is no evidence that Peter ever left Antioch after founding that Great Church. Antioch even acknowledges his role. The Epistle to the Romans infer that Aquila and Priscilla were the founders of Rome - and when Aquila went to be a missionary apostle to another congregation, Priscilla was the sole Matriarch - who like wrote the Apostolic Letter to the Hebrews.

Going back to the basic premise - Ordain Women! We already ordain gays and asexuals (who are also on the spectrum - as there are no heterosexual priests). Pastors also are allowed to bless same sex unions privately - but they cannot do so in a public setting - yet.  Give it a few decades and these questions will settle themselves.

I say this all as a Catholic, BTW, because I love the Church and the Church needs correction.
