Reaction Post/Video on Christian Churches and Sects

Please see  What Christian Denominations are Most Like Catholics?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pQxtMaWUuA&list=WL&index=6

I saw this video on YouTube just now and responded. I will share my response below.

The correct center is the Orthodox Church. The Catholics are schismatic and the Great Synod, with Ecumenical Patriarch Meletios, stated in 1922 that Anglican orders were valid - even if the Catholics do not share this belief.

The Eastern Catholics, Oriental Orthodox, Anglicans and Catholics are in the same circle - with Methodists with them because Wesley never renounced his Anglican orders.

Lutherans are in the next circle because they do not share line of ordination. Put the Presbyterians there too. They are still high church and believe in what Christ said about the Eucharist - that regardless of the language, it is still an experience of Christ, rather than a commemoration or memorial. Many of the "outside" rings - if they believe in real presence are in the same circle.

The others do not believe that they eat his body and drink his blood - and we know what Jesus said about that. Also, any religion that is based on racism or the prosperity gospel is not saved - even if it claims such a thing. To be saved is not about justification, it is rescue from the human condition by God's sharing in that human suffering through the Passion of Jesus (which did not appease the Father - rather took the Father into human suffering). Not an orthodox belief, but it is a correct one - as is congregationalism which rejects the putting on of titles that Rome has adopted.

We are a Church of God and an entire species in progress. What we believe about these things has nothing to do with their reality - just our shared belief in it (or lack thereof). Religion is for this life, not the next. If eternal life does not exist, we cannot pray our way into it. If it does exist, not believing in it does not stop a person from getting to the after-life.

Within the next 20 to 30 years, we won't have denominations anymore. This will occur once religions begin to actually find Christ in the poor rather than through the clergy. To be "born again" is to see the poor in the same way.
