If you really want a poll to influence a narrative, have Frank Luntz do a focus group. MAGA and BLM are not really organizations - they are movements with diffuse leadership from many points. MAGA is the grass roots iteration of the Astro-Turfed Tea Party - which is a Koch Industry product that wholly owns the Republican Party at the local level. This is going to be readily visible when Nikki Haley's campaign starts running at full steam.
MAGA is actually an egalitarian movement - as egalitarian is described as a sect with an enemy other but broad equality within it. Think the Reign of Terror or Pol Pot. Trump liberated people from the Tyranny of Good Behavior that was required in the post-civil rights world in HR Departments and classrooms everywhere that polite behavior and justice were mandated. MAGA is for people who were not raised right.
Let's talk about Russia, China the US and peers...
China has pulled back on Belt Road. They have a cash flow situation and are trying to get debt out of debtor nations China is a party-capitalist country. They won't attack us. They like our cash and we like their stuff.
At some point, it will be good for us to have China and Russia trade natural resources for manpower. We will get better stuff.
If China were to be given Taiwan, they lose because the poison we call democracy will upend the Party. Hong Kong patriots need to move to the mainland. China will rue the day.
Let's talk about today's SCOTUS ruling and the future....
The issue of federal authority over agencies is problematic because it is useful to have federal judges stand up for minority rights. The Congress should adjust the appeal process so that such regulatory matters be referred to the Federal Circuit.
What is interesting is that this case is an opportunity to reconsider Dobbs. The pro-choice side needs to take a hard look at whether to recognize that only Congress has the power to construe who is a "person" under the 14th Amendment and that the States have no such authority. Standing in abortion as a right was a bad idea. It may feel good as an assertion, but it is not good law.
